We would like to talk about Physiotherapy.
How do we treat?
One of the many conditions treated by Physiotherapy is lower back pain. Many of us will suffer with lower back pain at some point in our lifetime. The muscles go into spasm causing painful movements.
Physiotherapy uses a combination of methods, one of them being, dry needling (acupuncture) to increase blood supply to the muscle thus reducing the spasm. Another method is mobilising the joints. This reduces stiff and painful movements. Massage is an important part of treatment as this helps the muscles to relax and reduce pain.
Once the physiotherapist has massaged and mobilised your muscles and joints, they look at how you move. This could mean looking at how you bend your spine, squat, jump up and down or how you stand from the seated position. Physiotherapists help improve these movements with exercises and the treatment described above.
Who can we help?
Physiotherapy can help everyone, including, professional sports people, post surgical care, manual workers and desk workers to name just a few.
